Babies can eat a HUGE variety of foods from their first bites. They can eat most - and almost all - of the same foods that you do! But too many babies only get to see the tip of the iceberg. It’s a few pureed fruits and vegetables here and maybe some infant cereal over there.
Research demonstrates that babies who are exposed to the greatest variety of foods, flavors, tastes and textures early and often are more likely to be independent eaters and less likely to be picky eaters.
Challenging your baby to try 100 different foods before turning one is a GREAT way to help achieve a variety of foods. It might sound like a daunting task, but when you break it down, one new food a day, 5 new foods a week - your baby can get to 100 foods in JUST 5 months.
